Here's a couple I did yesterday, The second photo, (The married couple) is a zoomed in section of a larger photo from the 60's and it turned out OK, looks great in the lit base.

Wow Malcolm, I'm impressed! I didn't know that level of detail and contrast was possible with acrylic. I learn new things every time I visit the forum.

The secret is to experiment, expensive, I know but once you've got it right, write the settings you used down for future reference.

thats very impressive, i assume the bottom one is painted on the back

Very important for sure- although I would not say it is expensive, just part of learning the craft... and any craft worth learning will cost you time or money or sanity, or all three. Gene
