RDC6442S(EC) and signal during work

Postby Leszek Helmecki » Wed Dec 14, 2016 3:00 am

Hi.

I have a laser with controller RDC6442S(EC). I'm using an additionaly air pump. I'd like switch on this pump only, when a laser is working (cutting or engraving). In this moment I'm using a handy switch, but it is not comfortable situation. My question is: has my controller some output, which can put a electrical level (high or low - no matter) exactly during laser working? I will be a greateful if somebody answers me...

You can download the RD644xxx manual from Ruida but here is the part you want.

Leszek, Use a Solid State Relay as I am not sure how much current can be drawn from the DSP. Also, please fill in your signature with the required items.

Thanks.

I know how much current can be drawn... Unfortunelly, too late :-). I used solenoid 24V, 20 W (current 700 mA) and it was to be necesssity change transistor in controller. I wonder, can I use 24V power supplay from machine (additional 0,7 A) or I have to use external power supplay for my selenoid? Of course, I remember about correct connection beetwen selenoid and pin "Wind" via relay or mosfet.

What you mean Keith ".. please fill in your signature with the required items..." ?

OK - I made some test. During "normal" work, current in 24V circuit is not more then 0,15 A. Power supply can produce 3A in this circuit. Additional 0,7 A is not problem - I connected it and all works fine.
