FRAME SLOP in RDC644XG

Post by Mell Baldwin »

Hi All.

I have been trying to get my brand new Vevor c02 laser machine up and running but am having severe issues.
Every time i attempt to cut something it comes up with the "Frame Slop" error message and if i press enter it moves from the top right corner down to the bottom left and then comes back up to the top right, beeps twice and then does nothing.

Is anyone able to help as to what the issue could be? im at a total loss here and this is currently day 5 of trying to get it sorted with no contact back from vevor customer service as of yet.

ANY help is appreciated heaps!

From memory when I had this error, I believe this is an attempt for the laser path to work outside the machine boundary.

Try repositioning your origin further away from the corner of the machine, to see if that solves it. Move the laser head away from the machine limits using the arrow keys on the control and then press the origin button to set it to that position. Then try your job again.

There are other causes but this was one of the problems I had in the early days.

Hope that helps you a bit at least

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately i have tried this but it seems to be a problem with where the machine is reading where it is. I have attached a photo showing placement of green square in RD Works. Any chance you know how to get this repositioned? Laser is currently in the top right corner of the machine.

Cheers

This appears to be a screenshot of your RDworks screen? The green dot is where the laser will start at- it normally does not appear until you select some item to cut or engrave- the green dot can be positioned to any of the four corners [extremities of the graphic] or the center.

Do you have something selected? It could be so small it would not show up very well. Have you reviewed Russ' 10 starter videos on his SarbarMedia utube channel- it would explain most of your questions I think.

Mell

The screenshot that you've supplied. Can you post it again but press CTRL-A before taking the screenshot? As Gene says you may have something incredibly small entered accidentally to your file which is far, far outside your work area. Also, is your page setting OK?

Something like this?
