My New RDC6445G (EC) controller is installed and working but, when I power off and then power on (minutes , hours or days later) the settings revert back to default settings ie. x = 10000 mm / y = 10000 mm / z = 3000 mm .
I rewrite my actual settings for my machine 700 mm x 500 mm back via RDWORKS same issue .
I try with LightBurn write settings for 700 mm x 500 mm same issue ?
same result cannot get controller to retain settings written to it .
Howto get them to be retained ? HELP Please
6445G controller or user malfunction ?

The x + y will be 10000 til you home them to the homing switches.

Re: 6445G controller or user malfunction ?
tried that but every time the power is cycled I have to hit escape head crashes if i don't,
controller reverts back to 10000 x 10000 x3000 it is like starting all over with the wrong settings.
I've put rhe original 6442 controller back in and all is fine. , and yes I used the settings from the 6442 (manually entered)not firmware, with the 6445
and same issue. Controller Falure .

Re: 6445G controller or user malfunction ?
The 10000mm x & y are positions, not dimensions. The controller doesn't know where the 0 position is for at least one axis, so it sets the x & y coordinates to 10000 so that you can use it without any chance of the coordinates going below 0.Mark Elkins wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 4:59 pm tried that but every time the power is cycled I have to hit escape head crashes if i don't,

It seems the 6445 is not seeing a limit switch when the startup sequence happens, so the head crashes into the side. I think we can rule out the usual faulty wiring or switch problems, since the 6442 works.
Does the head travel towards the same corner at reset with both controllers?

Re: 6445G controller or user malfunction ?
All Limit Sensors are working .
reason being ,
I changed the controller & HMI back to the 6442
all connections are plug and play.
everything works .
