Anyone have a Laserpecker?

I have looked at these on youtube- they appear to be fiber lasers? I am not sure the difference between the V1 and V2- the V1 is on amazon now- V2 delivery is March 2021.

I backed the LP2 on Kickstarter. It's a 5w 450nm UV diode laser. Should be fun to play with, and do some stuff the 20 and 30w Fiber machines at work can't do.

LP1 1.6w UV diode____LP2 5w UV diode
LP1 speed 60mm/s? *says LP2 is 10x faster____LP2 6mm/s-600mm/s working speed
LP1 work area 100mm x 100mm____LP2 work area up to 100mm x 2000mm with aux booster

Thanks for the info Jeremy- when do you get your machine? It must have optics like a fiber laser as the head does not move. I will be leaving for a vacation at the end of the month and if I could get one before then I would play with it in the Keys. Orders now are slated for March [and who really knows?] which will be too late for me. Gene

Yep, they are currently scheduled to ship in March. If you just want something to play with the LP1 should still be a fun toy. I'd still consider the LP2 a toy since even hobby grade Chinese UV lasers are 6k+

Ok I know I'm really late to the game, but these freaking things are not actually legal to run in the USA or EU. Legally, they are a CLASS-IV system and must be run in an interlocked room where the laser shuts off if the door is opened. Obviously, goggles are required (a key switch to operate it is also legally required).
Furthermore, the fumes generated by this thing are no bueno in an enclosed space, especially wood (CO & Formaldehyde) and acrylic (MMA).
Anyway, be careful with these things.
