3d engraving into acrylic - possible?

Postby Jason Wright » Thu Nov 17, 2016 2:39 pm

hi there,

we all know about edge lit acrylic signs, can the engraving be done to produce a 3d image like the one in the picture below, or is it something a more capable machine would need to be used to produce

My understanding is that it takes a special "Dual Beam" Laser to do them, although the examples look more like they were done with a V-Bit on a CNC.
