Very resourceful adaptions to make the system work well. The tipping of the whole frame to get better "traction" is a novel approach. In a world of unlimited funds, it would be nice to have both a hot dog roller and chuck rotary attachment because each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

You are right.
As soon as I get a little more time and read a little more from you guys with chuck style rotaries, I plan to purchase one or do some horse trading for the spare hot dog I have.

Brain fart! I thought you were worried about clearing the sides to prevent the crashing problem. Too many late nights it seems. Glad you got the focus all figured out.

I've got the same setup as in the original post, I simply put the chuck on its side and this gives me a good few inches more clearance. been able to do pint glasses and vases like that, doesnt affect the functionality at all.
