45 12x12" sheets of 1/8 BB ply for $55

Postby Gene Uselman » Sat Aug 06, 2016 10:05 am

I like this stuff- Grade bb/bb Made in U.S.A from Woodpeckers -3mm x 11-7/8" x 11-7/8"
It is great for a lot of things- pretty flat if you keep some weight on top when storing. I make all kinds of things from it:

I will try those next- the 12x12s I bought early on and did not know if they would be as handy as they are. Gene

Mercy, Mercy :!: :!: I can't believe a guy would use a laser to make straight cuts, vs using a table saw :!: :!:
SO much faster. What a waste of electrons.

Agree with you Keith. I cut down 1220x2440 sheets with straight edge and skillsaw for the laser.

Great find, how much power does it take to cut though that ply?

Do you have the stock lens and tube? I use full power (18ma/50%) at 17 mm/s with a 1.5" HQ lens.

Reduce speed as required for the stock lens (probably around 10 mm/s or so).

Thanks Michael, that's about right, I think I was 18ma @ 15mms.

I love working with this material.
